Fun Game

The only thing I don't like is that after you beat it and you redo the levels, all your research seems to be maxed out but the effects arn't there in the real game. I don't know if that's to make it harder or what, but it seems almost like a bug.

Also, to bloundhound, if you want you unlock the extra ships and turrets you have to complete certain goals, something you can't do if you're only building one ship type as some of the goals require you to build x number of a certian kind of ship etc.

Way too choppy.

I hate all these really choppy unplayable games that get submitted to the portal. There is no excuse for them. All you have to do is change the fps that the game runs at from 12 to something usefull like 30. There's a little box for it in flash. That's it. If it weren't for that, this would be a pretty fun little game. Please fix that and resubmit it.

...but DESPERATLY needs a replay button so you can retry a level if you screw up.

If you're going to try the genre, at least make the game playable.

Waayyyyyyyyyyy too cluttered.

You need to remove about half that stuff. Also, for objects that are the same but multiple colours, if you look through tutorials or the flash help file you should be able to find a command that changes the colour of the object so you don't need so many objects.

Interesting design...

...but the puzzles need to be a lot better.

It's too bad really...

This game could have won the competition...the ONLY thing holding it back is the learning curve. When you make a game, you absolutly HAVE to make it easy to get into...or else you'll scare off most of your audiance. You can't just "expect" them to understand that this game is going to be hard right off the bat. Don't forget...the people that are going to be playing your game havent been testing it throughout it's development cycle like you have. When you make a first level for a game (or an "easy" difficulty setting"), try to make it so that it seems easy to you, and then make it even easier still, so that people can ease into it instead of being bombarded right off the bat. People will enjoy the game a lot more, and play it longer if they aren't being slaughtered in the first level.

Otherwise, the game's good. Keep it up.

Yeah! Great concept, kinda similar to other defend-the-base games we've seen on new grounds, but this one used the retro feel very well...very cool. Good job!

Great game! A few issues, the weapon menu when you click on the plane is very annoying until you figure out how to turn it off. Also, it's kinda hard to aim the land missles at smaller targets, as they tend to pass either to the left or the right of the intended target. But those are just minor quibbles...this game ROCKS! Also, to the previous reviewer, it's pretty easy to land...after you start the landing sequence, just make sure that your mouse is on the landing strip...your plane should land every time.

If you have some problems aiming... the power of a bomb has a blast impact zone and harms the enemy vehicles and or buildings. Its the shockwave zone!
